BTC training workshop: Bhavans Toastmasters Club (BTC) is conducting a training session on Impromptu speaking on Sept 13, 2019, Friday from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. The trainer is the DTAC 2019 champion DTM Nancy Vijo.

Impromptu speaking or table topic session is the signature segment of a toastmasters meeting, wherein speaker gives one to two minutes on any topic given in the stage. The specialist is that the speaker has to speak on the subject within a few seconds once he gets the topic. It should be a fulfilled speech with an introduction, body and conclusion.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit organisation which offers a wide range of activities to improve one’s communication and leadership skills. STECI Kuwait marks 54 yrs: St Thomas Evangelical Church of India (STECI) Kuwait Parish is celebrating its 54th anniversary on Friday, Sept 13 at 6:30 pm at South Tent, NECK. Free IFRA coaching classes: Indian Football Referees Association (IFRA) will be starting free refresher/coaching classes for existing referees, new recruits, those aspiring to be referees and even those who would like to learn about the laws of the game at IEAS – Salmiya (Don Bosco).

FBC tournament: Filipino Badminton Committee (FBC) is inviting all badminton enthusiast in Kuwait to join their regular badminton tournament being held every Friday from 8 am to 7 pm at Kuwait Disabled Sports Club, Bin Khaldoun Hawalli. SA biz delegation in Kuwait: The South African Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will lead a business delegation from the nine different provinces in South Africa to the State of Kuwait from Sept 14-17. The DTI and the South African Embassy in the State of Kuwait have been collaborating to promote all the nine provinces of South Africa given the diverse range of products each province provides. The Sectors included are agro-processing, metal beneficiation, energy, marine, ICT, construction and engineering and pharmaceuticals and healthcare. The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the trade relations between the two countries and to explore potential business opportunities between South African companies and their Kuwaiti counterparts.

The delegation’s programme will include a business seminar at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the morning of Monday, Sept 16, 2019. B2B meetings will be held at the Chamber following the business seminar. The delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with relevant business stakeholders including the Kuwait Union of Consumer Cooperative Society (KUCCS), and other business stakeholders relevant to the identified sectors.

In 2005, South Africa and Kuwait signed a trade agreement and an economic and technical cooperation agreement which affirmed the two countries’ commitment to build strong and mutually beneficial economic and commercial relations. Kuwait (and the Middle East), is an important trade and economic partner for South Africa. Kuwait is the sixth largest export destination for South Africa in the Middle East. The forthcoming visit follows on the footsteps of previous successful DTI led business delegations in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
