Three persons charred to death in 4-car tragic collision on Fahaheel Road: report

Officer shot, injured in raid on drug trafficker’s den

the Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport. KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: A four-vehicle collision on the Fahaheel Road opposite Abu Halifa resulted in the death of three unidentifi­ed persons after their vehicles caught fire, reports Al-Rai daily.

Acting on informatio­n firemen and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and put out fire to the vehicles, but the three men could not be saved. The men were burned to death and the vehicles were charred beyond recognitio­n.

The victims have yet to be identified.

Kuwaiti dies in Morocco:

Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, Fahad Al-Awadhi, said the Kuwait Embassy in Morocco has been closely following the news of the death of a Kuwaiti inside an apartment in the central district of Gliz in Marrakech, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Awadhi told the daily the embassy also followed up with the Moroccan authoritie­s’ reports of investigat­ions, which confirmed that the death was normal.

The Moroccan websites had announced that the security authoritie­s in Morocco found the body of a 44-year-old Kuwaiti in an apartment.

Cop shot in raid:

Police have arrested an unidentifi­ed drug trafficker for shooting at and injuring an officer from the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) during a raid on the home of a drug trafficker, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the security sources, this happened in Sulaibiya when officers from the GDDC acting on informatio­n raided the house of the suspect.

Police managed to arrest the suspect and seized from his home a quantity of drugs. The injured Captain was taken to the hospital by personnel from the Emergency Medical Services.

Woman says molested:

Personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ions Department have arrested a Bangladesh­i employee of a coThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently discovered a large number of counterfei­t T-shirts and sportswear in a store in Hawally.

In a press statement, the ministry disclosed inspectors from

operative society for molesting a female Kuwaiti shopper, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the security sources, when the woman felt the hand of the suspect on her body, she screamed for help and the Bangladesh­i escaped from the scene.

The CID men then contacted the coop management and identified the worker and took him in custody. However, the suspect is said to have denied the accusation.

He has been referred to the Public Prosecutio­n.

Taxi driver robbed:

An Indian taxi driver has filed a complaint with the police accusing two men of beating him and robbing from his wallet containing 25 dinars, civil ID and driving licence, reports Al-Anba daily.

The incident happened in Sulaibiya. He said the men asked him to take them to an unknown destinatio­n and said they will direct his path, but when they reached an isolated spot, they attacked the driver and escaped with the loot.

He said the men were wearing dishdasha.

Army vehicle stolen:

An Army vehicle was stolen in Subhan so two Bangladesh­i military personnel chased it and were about to control the thief when the traffic light turned red but they failed to apprehend him, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Police patrols rushed to the scene after the Operations Unit in the Ministry of Interior received informatio­n about the incident but the thief escaped.

An unidentifi­ed person took a video of the stealing operation resulting in the arrest of the suspect a few hours after the incident.

Youths fighting:

Police have arrested a group of young Kuwaitis for causing nuisance and fighting in front of a sports center in Ahmadi, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, acting on informatio­n security patrols from the Ahmadi Security Directorat­e rushed to the spot and discovered the men were fighting due to some difference­s between them.

The daily added, initially they were involved in a war of words and due to hostile behavior the quarrel developed and ended in assaulting each other.
