Pinoy Arabia ME Campus DJ Quest audition kicks off
Top 10 finalists to be announced on Oct 31

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: The Pinoy Arabia ME Campus DJ Quest audition kicked off with two talented young students taking up the challenge to be the first ever Campus DJ of the most listened to Internet-based community service radio station catering to the Filipinos in Kuwait, the Middle East and across the globe.
Seventeen year-old bubbly Latifa Yasser is joining the Pinoy Arabia ME Campus DJ Quest to conquer her fear in public speaking as she charts new horizon and sees this as a good opportunity to hone her talents and skills in radio broadcasting. DJ Latifa who is self-taught and plays a number of musical instruments is proud of her Filipino-Egyptian heritage.
“I’m so excited to be part of this and I’ll do all my best,” quipped DJ Latifa, a student of Indian Public School in Kuwait.
Meanwhile, another 17-year-old stunner came to audition at the Pinoy Arabia studio this weekend. Liaah Guinto armed with her sweet voice, could be the next Dr Love for teenyboppers.
“I just want to reach out to people out there. I want to share a part of myself and I also want to hear from them. Who knows, we can make this world a better place? “beamed DJ Liaah as she explained why she’s joining in the competition .
Pinoy Arabia ME has launched the Pinoy Arabia ME “Campus DJ Quest” as it celebrates its fifth anniversary. The competition is open to Filipino students or of Filipino descent, 13 to 18 years old, with good moral standing who want to showcase their talent on the radio.

Audition videos will be posted on Pinoy Arabia ME YouTube Channel. Pinoy Arabia will select 20 qualifiers and will be trained by DJ Mentors. The 20 qualifiers will be announced on Oct 1 and will be reduced to top 10 in the process of elimination based on this criteria: 50% – number of video views & likes & 50% – jurors’ ratings (Performance, Voice Quality, X-Factor, Audience Connection).
The top 10 finalists will be announced on Oct 31. The 10 finalists will be on board once a week with their assigned DJ mentor. Weekly video performances will be posted online and the top 3 finalists will be selected and announced on Nov 30.
New video performances of the top 3 will be posted on Pinoy Arabia ME YouTube Channel. The Pinoy Arabia Campus DJ Quest grand winner will be announced on Dec 6 during the Pinoy Arabia 5th Anniversary Celebration.
The prizes up for grabs would be KD 500, jewellery crafted by FK Jewellers & 1 round trip ticket to Manila for the Grand Winner plus the Campus DJ Quest Grand Winner will have his/her own weekly program on Pinoy Arabia. Runners up will receive jewellery from FK Jewellers and other valuable consolation prizes.
