Kuwait partaking in 3rd Intosai congress in Moscow
Delegation headed by acting audit bureau president Al-Sarawi
MOSCOW, Sept 22, (KUNA): The third congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (Intosai) is scheduled to begin in the Russian capital on Monday.
Conferees are scheduled to discuss throughout a week challenges facing the global economy, means of ensuring sustainable development, issues related to information technology and role of the supreme audit authorities for serving national priorities and goals.
Intosai’s current chair, President of the UAE State Audit Institution (SAI), is due to address a report during the conference before handing over his tasks to his successor, the head of the Russian audit bureau Alexei Kudrin
The convention, due on Sept 2338, will group more than 600 officials and experts, representing 168 countries, in addition to officials from the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
Kuwait is partaking in the event with a delegation, headed by the Acting President of the Audit Bureau Adel Al-Sarawi.
It includes Director General of the General Directorate of the Chair Bureau Fozia Al-enezi, chief auditor at the department of overseeing companies’ performance Khaled Al-Shehab, the chief auditor at the supervisory department on performance Hussa Al-Meshaan.
Also partaking from Kuwait is the chief auditor at the department tasked with overseeing the independent divisions for economic and service affairs Fatma Al-Failakawi, the acting head of international relations Fatma Al-Gattan, the coordinor of international relations Estabraq Al-Shelaji and the international relations coordinator Hind Al-Duwairi.
The conference will also involve chair of the Russian Central Bank Elvira Sakhipzadovna Nabiullina, Kurdin and other eminent figures in the sector.
Intosai was established in 1953 for boosting cooperation among financial authorities. The general conference is held once every three years.
