Kuwait affirms necessity of proper education to ‘attain’ development
State set on reforming sector
NEW YORK, Sept 25, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi affirmed on Tuesday Kuwait’s adherence to the senior-level political forum’s declaration with respect of sustainable development.
The Kuwaiti official, partaking in the international forum, was alluding to the progress attained at this level within framework of the global sustainable development plan 2030.
Kuwait’ stance is based on its full commitment to boosting progress that has been attained at this level; designed to achieve goals such as eradicating poverty, hunger, facilitating access to health, educational service, attaining justice and securing jobs.
Speaking about some of the 17 objectives, envisaged in the sustainable development at the universal level, the minister indicated at Kuwait’s adherence to the fourth goal regarding the education quality, as part of New Kuwait 2035 objectives, aimed at transforming the country into a leading financial-commercial hub.
Most successful nations worldwide have been those that have focused efforts on investment in developing human resources and devoting considerable attention to teaching, he said, noting that development warrants good education for citizens.
Aware of this fact, Kuwait has embarked on reforming the sector, boosting students’ skills particularly with respect of creative thinking so that to secure generations capable of absorbing the rapid economic needs and for sake of attaining the Kuwait Vision.
The Kuwaiti leaders have keenly backed the teaching sector, the minister said, noting that sufficient education helps nations find solutions to great problems worldwide.
