KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: The Ambassador of Canada to Kuwait Louis-Pierre Emond affirmed that thousands of Kuwaitis are among about 20 million tourists who visit Canada annually, and they are always received with open arms wherever they go, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a recent statement, Ambassador Emond declared that Canada is the second largest country in the world, which makes it difficult to specify the number of places for visit.

He said the country is rich with seas, mountains, forests, national parks, and world class cities, in addition to varieties of weather, wildlife and plants.

He stressed that “he can visit my home town in Quebec, which is the capital of Quebec Province as the only place where French is the official language, in a situation where a tourist wants to choose only two places”. It is good to have a feeling of French influence while the city is ancient hosting a UNESCO heritage location.

It is the only protected city in the north of Mexico. You can explore the region by moving around the streets that are slabbed with stones while enjoying heritage of the city and European beauty. The winter in Quebec is well known for the beautiful snow covering it, so you only need to make sure that you are with winter coat.”

He continued that the second location he would suggest is Banff with Lake Louise and National Park. He said the location is an opportunity to have a view of the wonderful Canadian Rocky Mountains and lakes covered by snowy rivers, wildlife and beauty of the small city. The place is popular for hot springs and several open activities such as walking long distances, riding bicycles on mountains and rowing.
