Thermal cameras at border idle for 5 years

Repairs not done ... huge financial loss

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Investigat­ions carried out by the Public Prosecutio­n on surveillan­ce cameras which are installed at the Kuwait-Iraq border, based on a report referred to it by the Ministry of Interior, show a number of these devices have been ‘idle’ since day one of their installati­on in 2014, reports Al-Jarida daily.

To add insult to injury the extensions to some of these thermal cameras have not been completed and some of them reportedly were operationa­l just for a few days.

Account hacked:

An unidentifi­ed Kuwait has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentifi­ed person of withdrawin­g money from his bank account in seven intervals, reports Al-Rai daily.

The theft was discovered when the Kuwait went to a local bank branch to withdraw some money and he discovered the discrepanc­y in the bank balance.
