FM receives credentials of newly-appointed envoys
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled receives outgoing US ambassador
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1, (KUNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received outgoing US Ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence Silverman on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled hailed the efforts of Silverman to boost the Kuwait-US ties on all levels, while he worked in the country.
The meeting was attended by Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ambassador Saleh Al-Loughani and a number of officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister received on Tuesday credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka Othman Lebi Mohammad Johar.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled wished the new diplomat best of luck and success in carrying out his duty in Kuwait, as well as further progress and prosperity for the Kuwaiti-Sri Lankan relationship.
Also, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled received on Tuesday credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia Constantine Giganti.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled wished the new diplomat best of luck and success in carrying out his duty in Kuwait, as well as further progress and prosperity for the Kuwaiti-Georgian relationship.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled also received on Tuesday credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of Honduras Luis Alutso.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled wished the new diplomat best of luck and success in carrying out his duty in Kuwait, as well as further progress and prosperity for the Kuwaiti-Honduran relationship.
The receptions were attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocols’ Affairs Ambassador Dhari Al-Ajran, Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ambassador Saleh Al-Loughani, and other senior foreign ministry officials.
