Kuwait keen on passing housing experience to Arabs: Ramadhan
Discussion held on new designs for housing
DUBAI, Oct 7, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Minister of Public Works and Housing Affairs Dr Jenan Ramadhan has affirmed Kuwait’s keenness to pass the country’s experience in housing welfare to other Arab nations.
This came in a statement by Dr Ramadhan to KUNA on sidelines of the third Arab ministerial forum for housing and development, held in Dubai Monday.
She has indicated that her participation in the forum resulted in exchanging experience with representatives of other nations, namely the UAE and Saudi Arabia. “We have held discussions on important topics and challenges and involvement of the private sector in housing welfare,” she added.
Discussions were also held on mechanisms for housing projects in line with development plans centered on building modern cities.
She also presented experience in developing housing projects and linking them with routes connected with the capital.
There are a lot of challenges in the housing sector in the Arab world and this forum helps to deal with this issue, minister Ramadhan said.
The Kuwaiti minister took part in the 36th ministerial meeting where 25 proposals were approved – one on increasing the level of housing care in the Arab world.
Development in technical advancements were discussed including new designs to specify housing needs.
Cooperation through humanitarian works with UN programs and continuation of the 2030 development plan were also examined.
The third Arab ministerial forum was organized by the Arab League and the UN program for sustainable development with participation of ministers of housing affairs and specialists.
