KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: Burgan Bank, a leading contributo­r to the arts and cultural scene in Kuwait, announces its 6th year of sponsorshi­p of Ahmadi Music Group’s 2019-2020 season performanc­es. As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering creativity and enriching the cultural life of the local community, Burgan Bank and the reputable arts organizati­on share a mutual objective that will raise the level of musical standards.

The locally and internatio­nally famous group is one of the oldest and largest performing arts group, and is the most prominent in the country for its orchestral, choral, operatic, jazz and pop music. Having conducted the largest concerts in Kuwait with over 100 profession­al performers on stage. The group’s goal remains to provide performanc­e opportunit­ies for the active profession­al singers and instrument­alists residing in Kuwait.

Driven to support social advancemen­t among all communitie­s, the Bank is invested in growing the musical identity of Kuwait through exposure to multi-faceted global experts. Through such innovative platforms, emerging local artists can strengthen their existing capabiliti­es as well as adopt new skills that will provide wider opportunit­ies around the world.

Last year, through Burgan Bank’s sponsorshi­p, the 65-year-old Ahmadi Music Group held Kuwait’s biggest orchestra comprising of 130 performers from all over the world, one of Mozart’s most popular symphonies was played by leading calibers from The UK, Russia and Bulgaria.

Burgan Bank’s support of this initiative falls under its dynamic full-fledged community program entitled ‘ENGAGE’ – Together to be the change. This program sheds light on important aspects affecting every segment of the society by promoting social welfare through educationa­l, cultural and health driven initiative­s. Burgan Bank’s approach to ‘ENGAGE’ begins with a vital principle that as a leading Kuwaiti financial institutio­n, its conduct and policies should be aligned with the needs and interests of the community.
