Kuwait Olympic signs deals with internatio­nal committees

DOHA, Oct 17, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti Olympic Committee signed on Thursday bilateral cooperatio­n agreements in the field of sports with the US, Japan, Italy and Ukraine.

The agreements were signed by Kuwait’s Olympic Committee Chairman Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and presidents of the National Olympic Committees in the four countries.

The accord signed with the US aims to cooperate in technical and academic fields, and to benefit from the American Olympic Center in Colorado to prepare Kuwaiti athletes in various sports.

As for the one with Japan, it focuses on cooperatio­n in the fields of sports medicine and preparatio­n of Kuwaiti technical and administra­tive staff through Tokyo Olympic Center.

Both deals with the Italian and Ukrainian sides aimed at cooperatio­n in the field of training and sports sciences, exchange of expertise, administra­tive and technical developmen­t, and cooperatio­n in preparing Kuwaiti trainers and technician­s.

The two agreements also aim to exchange expertise in the fields of training, sports sciences, sports medicine, and sports camps between sports clubs and Olympic federation­s and champions.

On the other hand, Sheikh Fahad met separately with, the Chairman of the Omani Olympic Committee Sayyid Khalid al Busaidi, the President of the Cameroon Olympic and Sports Committee Hamad Kalkaba, the President of the Dominican Olympic Committee Luis Meja, and the president of the Peruvian Olympic Committee Pedro del Rosario

Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Sabah reviewed with his counterpar­ts’ cooperatio­n, bilateral relations, and ways to enhance bilateral relations in all aspects related to the sports field.
