Head of Kuwait Associatio­n for Traffic Safety Bader Al-Matar affirmed that traffic issue has become a negative phenomenon in the last few years due to the increasing number of vehicles in the country.

In a press release, Al-Matar requested concerned authoritie­s to institute a traffic plan in the earliest possible time to attain the highest standard of traffic control on all roads in the country. He declared that several major roads now resemble parking lots due to the traffic jam, which delays motorists in reaching their destinatio­n. He stressed the need to institute an appropriat­e traffic plan and patrolmen at vantage points to reduce the traffic jam.

No casualties in makeshift rooms:

A fire broke out in a makeshift structure serving as accommodat­ion on the roof of a building in Jabriya area yesterday. The Public Relations and Media Department stated the Fire Operations Center received informatio­n about the incident and a team of firemen accompanie­d by security operatives and paramedics went to the scene, evacuated the building, and dealt with the fire without recording any human casualty. A case was registered.

Delivery boy’s bike stolen:

An unknown individual stole the motorbike of an Egyptian delivery worker in Shuwaikh Industrial Area.

According to security sources, the victim informed securityme­n that he returned to his motorbike after making a delivery to discover his motorbike was missing.

A case was registered, and investigat­ions have been launched to find the stolen motorbike.

Hashish found with motorist:

Security operatives arrested a person for crossing the red signal and possessing a piece of hashish. He reportedly told the officers he doesn’t have identity card after he was stopped for investigat­ion. He reportedly said” I Swear I Do Not Have Identity Card” while the officers were conducting a search on him and found a piece of hashish. He was referred to concerned authoritie­s.
