Cabinet expresses joy over HH the Amir’s return home

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20, (KUNA): The Cabinet on Sunday expressed joy over His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah’s return to the country, welcoming him back home after having underwent successful medical checkups in the US.
Amid its customary meeting, chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Cabinet was informed that the delegation accompanying the Kuwaiti Premier on his visit to Egypt includes Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled AlHamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, Commerce Minister Khaled Al-Roudhan and Minister of Oil Khaled Al-Fadhel, besides other senior officials.
The Cabinet also discussed the grilling motion lodged by lawmaker Mohammed Hayef against Finance Minister Dr Nayef AlHajraf, which will be discussed amid parliament’s forthcoming session.
Questioning ministers in parliament is a constitutional right of all MPs, the Cabinet emphasized, saying Minister Al-Hajraf is capable of responding to the allegations against him.
Turning to current happenings around the world, the Cabinet deplored attacks on a mosque in eastern Afghanistan, in which multiple explosions left scores of worshipers dead or injured.
Wishing a speedy recovery for those wounded in the attack, the Cabinet said that such “terrorist acts” run counter to humanitarian principles.
