MoE faces multifaceted crises that ‘threaten’ study plans of students

Minister calls for new educational zone

-

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: The Ministry of Education (MoE) faces crises in its educational work, some because of circumstances and others resulting from the budget and a third because of routine government procedures, while crawling in the way is the biggest danger that threatens the career and study plans of the students following rumors in the social media which obliges the concerned authorities to pursue the promoters of rumors on every occasion, reports Al-Rai daily.

The latest rumor is the fabrication published on the account of a professor on the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) that allegedly promises to grant his students 5 bonus points on the occasion of the safe return of His Highness the Amir.

While some students interacted with the tweets untrue thanks and gratitude to Rajin to follow the rest of the professors in other universities and colleges to follow suit, educators told Rai that rumors about public events and climatic conditions continue to occupy the lion’s share of fabrications in social media, now free grades have entered the fray of competition, and we do not know what will be next on the menu of the cyberspace.

Employees

The educators pointed out that unproductive students, employees or even retirees, at different ages and levels, have become specialists in the dissemination of lies which are promoted in the social media, some because of negligence and lack of consciousness, and are being dragged behind the wave of liars, and others deliberately do it to achieve personal goals.

The educators added the return of His Highness the Amir to his homeland and his family is an occasion in which everyone has rejoiced – Kuwaitis and residents – but there is no link between the return of His Highness and the subject of free degrees promoted by some.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Hamed Al Azmi called for the establishment of a new independent educational zone in the Sabah Al-Ahmad city, being one of the largest modern housing cities in the country and is expected to be one of the country’s provinces that need all services, especially educational services, as the city’s schools suffer from lack of facilities, including lack of school furniture and teaching staff, reports Al-Rai daily.

MP Mohammed Al Huwaila confirmed the establishment of an educational zone in the city of Sabah Al-Ahmad will take some pressure off from the Ahmadi educational region because of the high density of students in the southern region and the expansion of the educational zone and pointed to the shortage of teaching staff.
