Fourteen talented and vivacious Filipino students who dared to show what they’ve got, made it to the Pinoy Arabia ME Campus DJ Quest final level in the gruelling yet super exciting reality DJ competition.
The 14 students who made it to the grand finals are DJ Latifa, DJ Liaah, DJ Bob, DJ Ariya, DJ Berto, DJ Keizie, DJ Cookie, DJ Sara, DJ Eli, DJ Erica, DJ Fluffy, DJ Collyne, DJ Ana and DJ Pedro.
Pinoy Arabia ME, the most listened to Filipino community service online radio in Kuwait powered by Marina FM has launched the Pinoy Arabia ME “Campus DJ Quest” as it celebrates its fifth anniversary. The competition presented by Jollibee and sponsored by FK Jewellers, Yaazeemir International Manpower Agency, Sky Freight Cargo, JVR Placement Co, Inc and Extreme Electronics is open to Filipino students or of Filipino descent, 13 to 18 years old, with good moral standing who want to showcase their talent on the radio.
The 14 finalists will be on board once a week with their assigned DJ mentor and will be rated based on the public voting (30%) and the live performances (70%) on the radio. For the Public Voting, the finalists will have four (4) of 30 minutes LIVE SHOWS on Facbeook on Nov 8 or 9 – With DJ Mentor; Nov 15 or 16 – With DJ Mentor; Nov 22 or 23 – Solo; and Nov 28 or 30 – Solo The total number of LIKES shall be counted and tallied instantly right after the LIVE SHOW has ended and been posted. The succeeding LIKES will not be counted anymore.
For the Performance rating, there will be a Board of Jurors composed of Broadcasting Personalities and Experts and shall rate the Campus DJ Questers based on the following criteria:
Originality/Show Concept – 40%, Audience Interaction/ Communication, Skills/Performance – 30%, Musicality/Track Selection – 20% and X-Factor/Personality – 10%
The Top 5 Finalists will be announced on Dec 1, 2019 and each will have a one hour final live solo performance anytime from Dec 2-5, 2019. The Grand Winner will be announced on Dec 6, 2019 during the Pinoy Arabia 5th Anniversary Celebration that will be held at the Al Nasr Sporting Club in Ardiya from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The prizes up for grabs would be KD 500, jewellery crafted by FK Jewellers & 1 round trip ticket to Manila for the Grand Winner plus the Campus DJ Quest Grand Winner will have his/her own weekly program on Pinoy Arabia. Runners up will receive jewellery from FK Jewellers and other valuable consolation prizes.
