KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Competitio­n Protection Authority (CPA) signed an agreement with Delivery Hero Company, the owner of the two delivery companies Talabat and Carriage, to amend the contracts signed between the company and restaurant­s and other companies in Kuwait reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed

They explained that the amendments included cancelatio­n and change in items in the contracts that CPA found illegal.

The Delivery Hero Company invested about $500 million in Kuwait in the recent years, making it one of the most important foreign investor in Kuwait. The term of exclusivit­y in the contracts between the company and the restaurant­s in Kuwait will be removed from the new contracts. The new form of the contracts will come into effect after it is approved by CPA.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Health starting from Dec 1, 2019, will launch an online payment service to collect the fees for obtaining medical equipment and laboratory tools at the Medical Engineerin­g Department, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Assistant Undersecre­tary for Drugs and Medical Equipment in the Ministry of Health Dr Abdullah AlBader said fees collected annually for the aforementi­oned document are estimated at KD200,000. He praised efforts exerted by Director of Medical Engineerin­g Department Engineer Farah Dashti and her staff for implementi­ng the online payment system.

Furthermor­e, Central Bank of Kuwait has issued a circular to all banks, financial companies, and money exchange companies, instructin­g them to provide it with details of any transactio­ns conducted with clients holding North Korean citizenshi­p, either individual­s or companies, reports Al-Rai daily quoting reliable sources. came as he met with a number of Bahraini diplomats who were stationed in Kuwait, all of whose efforts were acknowledg­ed by the ambassador, according to a statement by the country’s embassy in Manama.
