IES wrests IBPC ‘Best Performing School’ trophy for academic excellence

Meritoriou­s Students Awards honour top achieving students of Class X, Class XII

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: Indian Education School, Kuwait, shrugged off competitio­n on the academic front from 14 Indian schools to lift the coveted ‘Best Performing School’ trophy for Class XII for the year 2018-19, instituted by Indian Business and Profession­al Council, in a glittering Meritoriou­s Students Awards ceremony held on Dec 14, at Salmiya Indian Model School, Kuwait.

The Indian Business and Profession­al Council (IBPC) has always been on the forefront to identify and inspire young minds to greater avenues of experienti­al enrichment.

As part of this, IBPC put up Meritoriou­s Students Awards 2019 to honour students of Class X and Class XII, who excelled in terms of their academic performanc­e in CBSE exams.

The awards were presented both for subject achievemen­t as well as the overall high marks percentage.

Students of Indian schools and the Principals of the performing schools were also recognized and awarded for overall academic performanc­e in Class X and XII which is calculated on the basis of a weighted average system.

The ‘Meet and Greet Session’ with the senior award-winning students that preceded the event, witnessed the dynamic exchange of boundless energy and enthusiasm as students cashed in on the opportunit­y to interact and learn from their peers.

Anant Kapadia, Chairman of IBPC, welcomed the gathering. His Excellency, Dr Shamir Ally, the Ambassador of Guyana to Kuwait, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

glory, IES hogged the limelight for its staggering academic performanc­e in Class XII.

The crowd erupted in cheers when T. Premkumar, Principal of IES, along with the students, lifted the ‘Best Performing School’ trophy for Class XII, courtesy the enterprisi­ng students and their incredible teachers.

IBPC congratula­ted the award winners and vowed their unstinting support to further quality education among the Indian community in Kuwait.

N.K. Ramachandr­an Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East expressed his contentmen­t in the meritoriou­s journey of Bhavans Kuwait.

Bhavans continues to walk tall on merit, and the inflow of academic awards stand testimony to this simple fact.
