IDAK elects new executive council for 2020-21
The Indian Dentists’ Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) unanimously elected the new members to the executive council for 2020-21, during the Annual General Body meeting held at Al Bida’a Ballroom, Hotel Mövenpick, Kuwait.
The new council will be in office for a twoyear term from Jan 1, 2020 and will be led by Dr Rajesh Alexander, the President.
The new General Secretary of IDAK is Dr Jacob Lonappan and Dr Prashanthy Rajendra Prasad is the Vice-President. Dr Ajay Vazhiyodan comes in to the council as Treasurer while Dr Jagan Bhaskardoss and Dr Ranjitha Ramesh are Joint Secretaries.
Dr Thomas Thomas was the unanimous choice for President Elect and the current president Dr Shaheer Malik will be the Immediate Past President in the new Council.

President Dr Shaheer Malik, addressed the General Body and enumerated the achievements of IDAK during the last two years while Vice- President Dr Seema Samuel welcomed the audience.
Treasurer, Dr Pramod Menon tabled the accounts while General Secretary Dr George P. Alex presented the detailed activity report with the help of audio visual presentation, which helped the audience relive the hectic activities in last 24 months.
Immediate Past President, Dr Jitendra Ariga was the election officer and announced the names of the new council members. Joint Secretary Dr Bobby Joseph proposed the Vote of Thanks in the meeting in which his counterpart, Dr Jayashree Dexith was the Master of Ceremony.
Mementos, gifts and certificates of appreciation were presented to all executive committee members of 2018-19 for their invaluable contribution.
Earlier in the day, the 10th IDAK Scientific Study Club was organized by the Scientific Committee led by Dr Srikanth Reddy, in which more than 175 IDAK members participated. Papers were presented by Dr Abdulhameed Al Sarraf, Dr Jitendra Ariga and Dr Roy Francis in Oral Medicine and Medical Emergencies in Dental Clinic. The event was managed by Event Management Committee, Scientific Committee and Membership committees of IDAK.
