Maki brings unique dinner experience with ‘Heart-To-Heart Omakase’ menu

Maki’s Heart-to-Heart set menu

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The Maki Restaurant Team loves to innovate, and their most recent innovation will be open to a select few as they have launched a premium set menu on Tuesday, Dec 17, brought to you by the collaborat­ion of their Head Chef and former Nobu Las Vegas Chef Louis and former Vienna based Chef Daisuke.

The two chefs have put their hearts and creative minds together to bring a unique tasting experience for guests to enjoy. The Event: The event was held at Maki Burj Jassim at 8.30 pm, was by invitation only, and included around 50 bloggers, influencer­s, and top Maki fans and guests.

The Menu: The menu followed five main tastings. To start with, a Red Rice Truffle Soup with snow crab meat, followed by a tangy Yuzu Tomato Salad, with a variety of seasonal cherry tomatoes to prepare the palate and appetite.

Daisuke-San’s Omakase was the next in line, and featured a selection of maki, sushi, and sashimi with secret new house-made sauces and toppings.

The main hot dish was a choice of Glazed Short Ribs with Chef Louis’ shiso-infused purée de papas, with tempura onions or Pan-Fried Glacier 51, a premium seabass fish known as the ‘Wagyu’ of fish.

The ‘outro’ of the evening was non other than Maki’s famous Terrarium Matcha Tiramisu, a beautiful, fluffy and light dessert to end the meal.

These dishes have gone through many internal tastings to make certain they are even more delicious than they sound.

Future: After this event, the Heart-ToHeart Menu will be available for all guests to enjoy starting from the Dec 23, and for a limited time only.

Their newest creations launched in the past few weeks have included Shiso Taquitos, which are a healthier version of little tacos. These taquitos feature the shiso leaf, which is indigenous to Japan, instead of taco shells, and a variety of fillings are available, including premium Fried Oysters with Sea Urchin, topped with Truffle Pearls.

Maki is continuous­ly creating, bringing you no-mayo healthy dishes, crunchy dishes, plant-based dishes – there’s always something for everyone in your group of friends and family.
