MoH proud of political leadership’s confidence

Minister says would work to preserve rule of law

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19, (KUNA): Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Bassel Al-Sabah expressed on Tuesday his pride for the renewed confidence of the political leadership given to him.

In a press statement, Sheikh Bassel said that he would work to preserve the rule of law, and achieve equality between citizens in terms of health services.

He wished everlastin­g good health and well-being to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The minister expressed his thanks to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, vowing to do his best to meet the aspiration­s of people.

He noted that the next phase’s priorities include the completion of steps he began during the last period and raise efficiency of medical staff.

He also prioritize­d achieving equality between the employees of the ministry, giving every person his right and equal opportunit­ies, and holding the negligent accountabl­e in accordance with the law.

The ministry will continue developing preventive and treatment services in line with the internatio­nal standards, he noted.

He pointed to keenness on activating the role of medical private sector

through supporting the private medical institutio­ns and helping them participat­e in the developmen­t of health services to achieve the desired indicators of the country’s health system in all health fields.
