KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: A Kuwaiti citizen reported to police the mass death of 140 of his sheep in Mutlaa area due to the heavy rain.

He revealed that some of his sheep were of special breed valued at about KD 20,000.

Also, flooding caused by the recent rain in a desert area in Matraba reportedly cost the shepherd boy his life, reports AlShahed daily.

Acting on informatio­n police and paramedics rushed to the spot and referred the corpse to Forensics.

Ex-wife stabbed:

A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for stabbing his ex-wife in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area.

According to security sources, the victim, who is in her 20s, was referred to Adan Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition as she was stabbed several times by her ex-husband during an argument between them.

The citizen was arrested and detained for investigat­ions until the health of the victim improves.

Officer assaulted:

Police are looking for an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti for assaulting a traffic officer, reports Al-Rai daily.

In his complaint, the officer said the young Kuwaiti was recklessly driving sports in the Farwaniya province endangerin­g the lives of other motorists and pedestrian­s and when the former tried to stop him, the young man got out of his car, attempted to assault the officer and drove off. However, to the bad luck of the young man, his wallet fell on the ground.

The wallet contained his civil ID and the young man, allegedly sent one of his friends to get his wallet, but the request was rejected.

The young man has been charged with abusing a public servant and attempting to assault an official.

Bootlegger arrested:

Personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID) have arrested an unidentifi­ed person for bootleggin­g, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the security sources police have seized from him locally-manufactur­ed and imported booze and referred him and the contraband to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control (GDDAC).
