Woman accuses lawyer of deceiving her into illicit relations, aborting fetus by Asian nurse

Teenage girl kidnapped by trio, raped in captivity for one day

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: A young woman has accused a popular lawyer, who was previously a parliament­ary candidate from the Fifth Constituen­cy, of deceiving her into having sex with him by promising to marry her, impregnati­ng her illegally, and then forcing her to abort the child with the help of an Asian nursing assistant.

According to security sources, the woman lodged a complaint with the Public Prosecutio­n against the Kuwaiti citizen who had earlier contested in the parliament­ary elections.

In her complaint, she explained that she had been in a relationsh­ip with him after he promised to marry her, and she eventually became pregnant. He then gave her some pills and forced her to take them, without informing her that the pills were meant to abort the fetus during the first month of her pregnancy.

The citizen has been detained for investigat­ions.

Girl abducted, raped:

Three men have been referred to the Public Prosecutor for allegedly kidnapping an 18-year-old girl from in front of a hotel in the Hawalli governorat­e, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the account of the incident given by the victim the three men forced her into the car when she was passing by a hotel in Hawalli, and drove her to ‘someone’s’ house in the area, sexually assaulted, held her captive for one day against her wishes and then returned her to the place from where they had kidnapped her.

In the meantime, when the girl failed to return home the parents filed a missing persons report at a police station in the Mubarak AlKabir governorat­e.

The arrest came after the victim gave descriptio­n of the suspects and showed the place where she was held captive.

Delivery man ridiculed:

The Hawalli Public Prosecutor have ordered the detention of two officers working for the Kuwait Army and an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti for poking fun at a fast food delivery man and unleashing their pet dog at the man which allegedly bit the man in the hand, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the security sources the arrest came after the

Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior was informed about the incident.

During interrogat­ion the men claimed the dog did not bite the victim in spite of the wound on the hand being clearly visible.

However, the men have been arrested and a Forensic report is awaited to ascertain the truth.

The Anba daily said the three suspects were detained for 24 hours at the Jabriya Police Station and then referred to the Public Prosecutor.

‘Clever’ car buyer:

A strange case has been referred to the concerned authority to find a solution to the issue, reports AlAnba daily.

According to security authoritie­s an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti walked into the police station and said he sold the car to a compatriot for 41,800 dinars and the latter paid 3,000 advance and

gave assurances that the rest of the money will be paid after the transfer of the car in his name.

However, after the transfer was completed the buyer told the seller to accompany him to the bank to complete the deal, however, on his way he told the man that he does not have the money to pay him but legally since the car is in his name, it belongs to him. The issue is being referred to the prosecutio­n.

Woman’s account hacked:

Police are looking for an unidentifi­ed person who is said to have bought two phones online worth KD 950 using the credit card of an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Rai daily.

The woman said she received a message saying 950 dinars have been deducted from her account and when she checked with the bank she discovered someone had used her account

to buy the phones.

The complaint has been referred to the e-crimes department of the Ministry of Interior.

Couples fight over kids:

An unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti and his Lebanese wife have filed a complaint with the Qashaniyah Police Station accusing a Kuwaiti couple and their relative of assaulting them and their three children, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the complainan­ts, they were camping in the area and the fight initially occurred between children which later developed into throwing accusation­s at each other and calling names and finally they ended assaulting each other.

A security source stated the securityme­n recorded a case of beating against each other and the issue of children has been referred to the Juvenile Protection Department.
