Burgan Bank participat­es in ‘KFAS Innovation Challenge’

Bank aims to integrate innovative culture within its depts

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: To further solidify its position as a dynamvic financial powerhouse, Burgan Bank selected five talented employees to undertake the responsibi­lity of acquiring the skills to integrate an innovative culture within the bank. The Bank partnered with Kuwait Foundation for the Advancemen­t of Sciences (KFAS) in line with its steadfast strategy to foster transforma­tive growth, and implement modern practices.

The Learning and Developmen­t Department at Burgan Bank under the Human Resources Group leadership handpicked the members namely, Omar Al Halabi, Ahmed Al Rbean, Ms. Shurrooq Al Houly,

Salem AL Qenaei, and Mohammed Bualiyan from various divisions, to ensure each bring value from a diversifie­d banking perspectiv­e.

The ‘KFAS Innovation Challenge 2020’ which commenced in January 2020, brings the combined resources of the Wharton School’s Mack Institute of Innovation Management and the Penn Center for Innovation to the program. Leveraging outside resources, the participan­ts gain industry insights and explore the themes of innovation. Participan­ts work in teams on selected projects and at the end of the program, each of the teams will be requested to present to their companies.

The topics and activities include’ Business Model Innovation’, ‘Innovative Delivery Models’, an ‘ Innovation Tournament Workshop’ followed by visits to the Silicon Valley companies in the United States in April, where they meet successful innovators operating in business today, from start-ups to multinatio­nal firms.
