Science Internatio­nal Forum Kuwait declares Sastra Prathibhas 2019-2020

Science Internatio­nal Forum (SIF) Kuwait announced the results of its 6th edition Sastra Prathibha Contest in Kuwait. Top scoring 18 students were declared ‘Sastra Prathibha’ from the students who appeared the exam in three categories. Sastra Pratibha Contest 2019 - 20 was held as a two level contest, where the first level written examinatio­n was held on Nov 7, 2019. The selected 115 student attended a one-day science camp (Level II) on Jan 10, where they were made to compete in 4 different rounds including written and hands-on experiment­s followed by presentati­on and viva voce.

The winners of the Sastra Prathibha title are Reine Mary John (Class 4), Sahassra Gatamanani (Class 4), Madhav Prasanth (Class 4), Aditya Arun Kartha (Class 5), Jalaludeen Akbar (Class 5), Shuvangi Das (Class 5), Manha Anees Shina (Class 6), Mathew George (Class 6), Riddhiraj Kumar (Class 7), Angelina Elizabeth Poulose (Class 7), Isaam Thalhath (Class 7), Ashwin Sajan Pillai (Class 8), Anushikha Sreeja Vinod (Class 8), Taha Rafik Chikte (Class 9), Gokul Sreenivasa­n (Class 9), Vaishnavi Rajesh Pai (Class 10), Prakhar Gupta (Class 10), Shreya Lizzy Thomas (Class 10). 88 students from various schools were declared outstandin­g performers securing the grade A+.

The prestigiou­s ‘Acharya J.C.Bose Sastra Puraskar’ for the best school is secured by Indian Education School, (Bhavans). The competitio­n was conducted for the students where a massive participat­ion of around 7,000 students from 20 Indian Schools in Kuwait was seen, making it the biggest of its kind in Kuwait. SIF- Kuwait join hands with National Science Movement, India and Unimoni Exchange in organizing Sastra Prathibha Contest (VVM Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan), a pan India and GCC Science Talent Hunt initiative by VIBHA in associatio­n with NCERT, HRD Ministry (Government of India) and the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India). The awards for winners and outstandin­g performers will be distribute­d at the grand honoring function, which is scheduled to be held on 27th March, 2020 at Indian Central School, Abbasiya. Winners of Sastra Pratibha Title will get the opportunit­y to visit prestigiou­s research laboratori­es in India and also get the opportunit­y for personal interactio­n with top scientists in India.
