Brown earns 5th straight win behind Anderson’s 51 points

Pickett scores 27 to lift Siena past Rider

PHILADELPH­IA, Feb 15, (AP): Brandon Anderson scored 31 points as Brown defeated Penn 75-63 on Friday night.

Zach Hunsaker had 21 points for Brown (12-8, 5-2 Ivy League), which earned its fifth consecutiv­e victory. Jaylan Gainey added 12 rebounds.

A.J. Brodeur had 19 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks for the Quakers (12-8, 4-3), whose five-game winning streak was snapped. Brodeur reached 870 career rebounds, jumping two places into fourth on the Penn all-time list.

Siena 73, Rider 64 In Albany, NY, Jalen Pickett had a season-high 27 points as Siena won its 300th Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win, defeating Rider 73-64.

The Saints were the third MAAC program to reach 300 wins, joining Iona (393) and Manhattan (309) – who both joined the league eight years prior to Siena. Elijah Burns had 12 points for Siena (12-10, 8-5). Donald Carey added 11 points. Manny Camper had 10 points. N. Dakota State 80, Purdue Fort

Wayne 70 In Fargo, ND, Tyson Ward had 22 points and 10 rebounds as North Dakota State topped Purdue Fort Wayne 80-70.

The victory left North Dakota State (19-7, 10-2) tied atop the Summit League with South Dakota State.

Vinnie Shahid had 19 points for North Dakota State, which earned its sixth consecutiv­e win. Rocky Kreuser added 13 points and three blocks.

Jarred Godfrey had 20 points for the Mastodons (12-15, 5-7). Dylan Carl added 16 points and eight rebounds. Matt Holba had 13 points.

Monmouth 85, Canisius 71 In Buffalo, NY, George Papas had a career-high 32 points as Monmouth topped Canisius 85-71. Papas hit 9 of 10 foul shots. Ray Salnave had 14 points for Monmouth (14-10, 8-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Deion Hammond added 11 points.

Monmouth totaled 55 points in the second half, a season best for the team.

Fairfield 57, Marist 53, OT In Poughkeeps­ie, NY, Taj Benning and Vincent Eze combined to score all 12 of Fairfield’s overtime points to lead the Stags over Marist 57-53.

Benning hit 3-pointer for Fairfield’s first points in overtime and made two free throws with 18.2 seconds left for a 56-53 lead. After Tyler Sagl missed a two-point jumper for Marist (6-16, 5-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) in the final seconds Eze added a final free throw.

Dartmouth 65, Columbia 63 In Hanover, NH, Aaryn Rai made a hook shot in the lane with 0.2 seconds left to help Dartmouth end a nine-game losing streak with a 65-63 victory over Columbia.

The Big Green held the Lions scoreless for the last 6:50 of the game, ending on a 9-0 run. Chris Knight tied his season high with 23 points on 10-of-11 shooting for Dartmouth (8-14, 1-6 Ivy League). Knight broke the 1,000 careerpoin­t mark with his performanc­e. Rai added 11 points and 11 rebounds, and James Foye had 12 points.

N. Kentucky 84, IUPUI 70 In Highland Heights, Ky, Jalen Tate had a career-high 31 points to outduel Marcus Burk and lift Northern Kentucky to an 84-70 win over IUPUI.

Burk led the Jaguars with 30 points on 11-of-20 shooting, his fourth game this season of at least 30 points.

Tate was 10-of-14 shooting and made 9 for 11 free throws. He added seven assists and six steals. Trevon Faulkner had 14 points for Northern Kentucky (19-7, 11-3 Horizon League), which earned its fifth consecutiv­e victory. Tyler Sharpe added 13 points. Adrian Nelson scored 11 points.

Iona 80, Manhattan 57 In New Rochelle, NY, E.J. Crawford had 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists as Iona routed Manhattan 80-57.

Tajuan Agee had 16 points and five assists for Iona (8-12, 6-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Isaiah Washington added 14 points, and Isaiah Ross had 12. Crawford made 11 of 13 free throws.

Pauly Paulicap had 10 points for the Jaspers (11-11, 7-6). Tykei Greene and Christian Hinckson each had seven rebounds.

St. Peter’s 84, Quinnipiac 72 In Jersey City, NJ, Doug Edert came off the bench to score 18 points to lead St. Peter’s to an 84-72 win over Quinnipiac. Edert hit 4 of 6 3-pointers. Daryl Banks III had 18 points for St.

Kevin Marfo had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Bobcats (11-12, 6-7), whose losing streak reached four games. Rich Kelly added 13 points. Matt Balanc had 11 points.

Harvard 85, Cornell 63 In Boston, Chris Ledlum had 15 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to lead Harvard to an 85-63 win over Cornell, the Crimson’s seventh straight home victory.

Danilo Djuricic had 13 points for Harvard (15-7, 4-3 Ivy League). Chris Lewis added 13 points. Noah Kirkwood had 10 points.

Harvard dominated the first half and led 42-15 at halftime. The Big Red’s 15 points in the first half marked a season low for the team.

Yale 88, Princeton 64 In Princeton, NJ, Azar Swain had 23 points as Yale defeated Princeton 8864 in a match-up of the Ivy League coleaders.

Jordan Bruner had 13 points for Yale (18-5, 6-1 Ivy League). Eric Monroe, August Mahoney and Paul Atkinson scored 12 points each. Yale shot 58% overall, 42% from the arc and made 14 of 16 free throws while holding a 36-22 rebounding edge. Yale led 43-25 at halftime. Akron 80, Central Michigan 67 In Akron, Loren Cristian Jackson scored 31 points for his third 30-plus game of the season, and Akron defeated Central Michigan 80-67.

Jackson made 11-of-16 shots from the floor, including 5 of 9 beyond the arc, and all four of his free-throw attempts. He also reached the 30-point mark against Toledo (33) on Jan 18 and Ohio (35) on Jan 25. Channel Banks had 14 points for Akron (19-6, 9-3 Mid-American Conference). Tyler Cheese and Xeyrius Williams each had 11 points.

Buffalo 83, Toledo 67 In Toledo, Ohio, Jayvon Graves had 27 points as Buffalo got past Toledo 8367.

Josh Mballa and Jeenathan Williams each had 12 points for Buffalo (16-9, 7-5 Mid-American Conference). Antwain Johnson had 10 points and seven rebounds.
