KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: Artist Ahmed Iraj said his participation in the heritage series ‘Al-Shahd Al-Mor’ has not been agreed yet, despite he being given the text of his role and his enthusiasm, reports AlRai daily.

In a statement to the daily, he explained the reason for not resolving the issue of his participation until now is due to inconsistencies such as the dates of filming his scenes which is conflicting with his schedule in the Ramadan drama race, with his filming of the series “In Memory of Shadow”, which will be shown in the same season.

He explained the “Al-Shahd Al-Mor” is produced by Abu Dhabi Channel and the executive producer is Dr Habib Ghuloom, written by Ismail Abdullah, and directed by Mustafa Rashid. The work will be shown during Ramadan.

On the other hand, Iraj indicated that he is in the process of completing filming the scenes of the series “In Memory of Shadow” at the beginning of next March, to be presented in the Ramadan 2020.

Meanwhile, artist Saud Bushehri announced that he will not appear in any TV series during the upcoming Ramadan drama season, due to his prior association with the work written by Fahd Al-Alaiwa whose filming has been postponed, reports Al-Rai daily.

Bushehri told the daily, “I am not sad or even upset that I will not be present with my fellow artistes in any TV series next season of and personally I wish success for everyone.”

On the other hand, Bushehri indicated that he has finalized the idea of a contest for the Ramadan season, saying: “Finally, I put the finishing touches to the idea related to a program of competitions that is suitable for display during the Ramadan season, and without exaggeration, as it is not a classic program similar to what has been shown on television.

carving on pencils, reports Al-Rai daily.

Hussein Lari is a young Kuwaiti, fights life through his profession as a teacher, but he has a hobby of sculpting on pencils, which pushes him automatically to be a model of accuracy and attention to detail, while confirming that he has reached the stage of professionalism to provide sculptures within months.

Lari told the daily sculpting on pencils is an activity that he started two years ago as a hobby away from any physical purpose, as he started teaching himself for months, until he reached the stage of professionalism, which he displayed during the ‘Microfire – Kuwait’ exhibition.

He added that to complete work on one piece ‘to my taste’ it takes between 8 and 10 hours and stressed attention should be paid to detail since the workspace is limited and needs special skills.

He continued saying, “I use my regular tools at work, which are moss (razors) and pencils available in the local market, while some sizes of moss are not available due to their accuracy, so I buy them from outside Kuwait, in addition to using specialized amplifiers not available locally, so I work with my own naked eyes in addition to the help of a special magnifier. I have to check the details.”
