Arabian Horse Championship concludes with crowning of winners
First event in Kuwait aims to support Kuwaiti breeders
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: On Saturday evening, Feb 15, in the Arab Horse Center, affiliated to the Arabian Horse Center, the first Arabian Horse Championship (2020) Arabian Horses Cup, which is held under the patronage of the Amir, concluded by crowning the winners of its competitions.
The representative of His Highness the Prince to attend the tournament, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, in a speech to the ceremony, expressed his great honor in representing His Highness the Prince to attend the conclusion of this tournament, noting the great participation of Kuwaiti marabat in the tournament.
Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah praised the distinguished organization of the Organizing Committee for the Cup led by the Assistant Undersecretary at the Amiri Diwan and Director General of the Arabian Horse Center (Beit Al-Arab) Sheikha Sarah Al-Fahd AlSabah
and all members of the working committees, wishing success to all owners and breeders participating in its various competitions.
In turn, Sheikha Sarah Al-Fahd Al-Sabah appreciated in a statement after the end of the tournament, the patronage of His Highness the Amir of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for this great heritage forum, which is an embodiment of his interest in the heritage of parents and grandparents. She also welcomed the presence of Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah representing his Highness.
Sheikha Sarah said that this great heritage forum, which is being held for the first time in support of Kuwaiti breeders, will continue Sunday, Monday, over three days, with the establishment of the Arab Egyptian Horse Championship, which will last for three days, and witness the participation of 304 horses, bringing the total number of horses participating in the two championships to be 669 horses.
She emphasized that the committees operating in the Breeders Cup are striving to advance this authentic hobby, which is witnessing a great development in the level and quality of horses participating for Kuwaiti breeders congratulating Kuwaiti cleats that won first places in the various championship competitions.
The results of the championship, which included six categories, resulted in the skill of al-Mahra (Wadha Al-Aghar) winning by its owner, Muhammad Al-Khoreibit, in the first place in the competition for the best love for age (one year or less), while the dowry (Brigadier Al-Wawan) won his title, Ali Al-Wawan, with the title of the most beautiful competition for the same age.
In the most beautiful filly competition (two to three years old), skilled (Aroub Al-Hamad) of its owner, Sheikh Hamad Al-Sabah, won the first place, and the silver was the share of the skill, so that CRC was beautiful, and the bronze went to the goals of the lights, while the horse (Kahn), which was attributed to Talal Al-Jasmi, won the center. The first was in the contest of the most beautiful dowry (two to three years old), and silver was given to the dowry, Nayyar, the first, and the bronze, from the share of Nebras Al-Hamad, to its owner, Sheikh Hamad Al-Sabah.
The horse (Lulwah Al-Wawan) crowned its owner Ali Al-Wawan with the most beautiful title in the mares category (four years or more), and the silver won by the same category: Arab Chakra. Safwan Nayyar won the silver and Nayrouz Elmi in bronze, while Mossad Al-Hamad won the Leading Farm Award.
