Maurya Kala Parisar holds Annual General Meeting
Maurya Kala Parisar (MKP), a social and cultural association of people from Bihar and Jharkhand states of India residing in Kuwait, held its Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) on Feb 7in Kabd. The event was more of a picnic with most of the members and their family in attendance. A mouth-watering ethnic breakfast kicked off the day with hot Jalebis on a wintery morning being purely bliss.
There were several interesting games with instant prizes for kids as well as adults. While some indulged in music, others tried their hands at cricket and football. Some others were busy catching with their acquaintances at the picnic. On the whole, it was a perfect setting for a family get together.

It was followed by a round-up of MKP events in the previous year by the General Secretary Manoj Mishra. He particularly highlighted the successful holding of MKP’s signature events – Ethnic Food Festival, Hindi Utsav and Maurya Manch. Members were highly appreciative to know that all these events had the highest number of participants in this Silver Jubilee year. MKP President Sabir Jussain Ansari thanked all the members, participants, volunteers, sponsors, media partners and all other stakeholders for their contribution in completing the association’s another successful year. Those who joined Maurya Kala Parisar Kuwait recently were introduced and greeted by all the members. Members who volunteered in the recently held Silver Jubilee Maurya Manch 2020 were felicitated.
Subsequently, Devesh Kumar, the appointed Election Officer, took over and began the election process for the new Executive Committee. It was heartening to note that all the office-bearers including Executive Committee members were elected unanimously. After concluding the election process, Devesh Kumar declared the list of Maurya Kala Parisar’s new office bearers for next 2 years, which is as follows:

They vowed to carry on the admirable works of Maurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait and to keep the association’s flag high.
Maurya Kala Parisar will be announcing soon the 8th edition of its much-awaited gourmet’s delight Ethnic Food Festival. The event will be open for all in Kuwait to participate and exhibit home cooked traditional delicacies with awards in specific categories. The event attracts more than 100 participants with hundreds of visitors enjoying different types of popular and exotic dishes in a festive spirit.
