‘Check’ dates set for illegals

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Further to the decision issued by the Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh for residence law violators to leave the country with paying fines and ticket paid by the government of Kuwait, (provided they are not wanted by law, or carries a travel ban) and keep the option of returning to the country, places for accommodat­ing them until the date of travel have been readied, according to reliable ministry sources.

The Directorat­e General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry stated Minister Al-Saleh has issued a decision to allow violators of the residence law to leave the country without paying fines as well as without incurring travel costs and airline tickets in addition to the possibilit­y of returning to the country again.

The administra­tion explained this decision comes in light of the exceptiona­l circumstan­ces the country is going through and the measures taken by the ministry to combat the spread of the new corona virus, as well as due to the accumulati­on of financial fines incurred by residence law violators.

The administra­tion said the Ministry of Interior has allocated places to receive residence law violators to register their names in the Farwaniya governorat­e – male offenders: Farwaniya Governorat­e, Al-Muthanna Primary School for Boys, Block (1) Street (122), for female offenders: Farwaniya Governorat­e, Farwaniya (Primary School for Girls) Block (1) Street (76).

The dates for checking with the above addresses are as follows: Filipinos from April 1 to April 5; Egyptians from April 6 to April 10; Indians April 11 to April 15; Bangladesh­is from April 16 to April 20; Sri Lankans from April 21 to April 25 and other nationalit­ies from April 26 to April 30, 2020.
