Visa trade companies

-

The names of 15 companies which specialized in visa trade has allegedly popped following the amnesty which has been issued by the Ministry of Interior for people to leave the country without paying fines, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily added, these companies are being monitored by the Ministry of Interior since a majority of them appear on ‘paper’ with no real activity.

According to sources this came to light after a several Egyptians some of whom arrived in the country more than nine months ago and have no residence permit registered to return home to benefit from the amnesty.

These companies are said to have brought into the country more than 1,000 workers and left them on the streets of Kuwait to fend for themselves. Each man is said to have paid between KD 1,300 and KD 1,600 to get a job in Kuwait.

The daily added, many others who have registered to return home have been in the country for several years and have been working for others rather than their sponsors in violation of the labor and residence laws.

The security sources said work is underway to list all the companies that are involved in the visa trade following which the file will be referred to the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas AlSaleh after the deadline for violators to leave the country ends on April 30, 2020.

The sources pointed instructions have been issued by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Issam Al-Naham on the need to document and collect information on the activities of these companies including confessions from the visa trade victims so that no one escapes punishment.

Meanwhile the sources said the Ministry of Interior continues for the third day in a row to receive Egyptian violators of the residence law saying during the first two days 200 have applied for amnesty.
