27 cafes, stores shut in two governorates raids
KUWAIT CITY, April 9: Deputy Director General of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Farwaniya municipalities Amaar Al-Amaar revealed that 27 stores and cafés in Farwaniya and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates were closed because they violated the measures implemented to curb the spread of coronavirus.
In a press release, Al-Amaar said the inspectors of Kuwait Municipality have increased efforts to fight the spread of coronavirus based on decisions issued by the Director General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmad
Al-Manfouhi.
He indicated that the inspection tours conducted by inspectors of Kuwait Municipality, with the participation of relevant government authorities, resulted in the issuance of 492 warnings and 211 citations, adding that 67 officers were trained to carry out the relevant mechanisms and operate the utility equipments.
Al-Amaar expressed appreciation for some companies that washed and sterilized garbage containers, roads, and lots, adding that 29,330 containers of various sizes have been sterilized.
He revealed that Kuwait Municipality placed warning stickers on 613 abandoned vehicles, lifted 41 abandoned vehicles, issued 60 citations for violations related to cleanliness, and transferred garbage from several areas.
Meanwhile, Kuwait Municipality has alerted its teams in the municipality branches of all governorates to look out for bachelors living in residential areas.
In addition, relevant sources revealed that 30 abandoned vehicles in Ishbiliya area and 16 abandoned vehicles in Jahra area were lifted.
