Strict conditions for food delivery to homes during Ramadan
KUWAIT CITY, April 23: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Engineer Walid Al-Jassem said the sector is strict in terms of applying the necessary conditions set by the Municipality as regards the implementation of Cabinet’s decision on food delivery services to homes in the month of Ramadan, reports AlAnba daily.
In a statement to the daily, Engineer Al-Jassem said there would be no slackness or appeasement by the teams responsible for the follow-up and inspection of violations concerning their commitment to conditions set by the municipality after the issuance of the Cabinet’s orders, which cover food delivery services, consumables and any other delivery services, while adhering to personal hygiene and food safety practices, starting from the selection of basic materials to the production of healthy food safe for human consumption.
Minister Al-Jassem also stressed that crisis the world is going through in terms of the coronavirus pandemic requires each person to abide by the decisions issued by the health authorities, noting the situation does not allow inaction or turning a blind eye to any transgression and violation that may affect public health or procedures, preparations made by government for that purpose, as well as costs the state incurred to counter the virus.
With regard to the re-establishment of automobile garages in residential areas, the final decision will be taken within days, Al-Jassem said, explaining that services the branches will provide are exclusive for the area residents only.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior has called on the citizens and residents to cooperate and implement preventive measures issued by the health authorities to limit the spread of the new coronavirus, reports Al-Anba daily.
The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media stated that the partial curfew decision includes territorial waters, chalet areas and agricultural holdings, in addition to residential areas.
It was noticed recently that some citizens and residents violate the partial curfew and use these places designated for walking inside residential areas which start from five in the evening until six in the morning the next day. The ministry said this is in violation of the ministerial decisions and exposes the violators to legal accountability.
The ministry also called on those who visit chalets and farms not to move in any way, whether walking from one location to another, walking on the beach, or riding ATVs and the like, stressing the need to adhere to the partial ban decision.
The ministry added that the General Administration of the Coast Guard of the border security sector is following the application of the partial curfew law in the Kuwaiti regional waters, and it has monitored some citizens who rented boats and organized picnics, while the instructions of the health authorities are clear that they must stay indoors and not go out except in cases of extreme necessity.
