Municipali­ty, PAM shut 152 shops, issue 152 citations during March 3 and April 28

40 websites referred to prosecutio­n

KUWAIT CITY, May 2 : Head of the Capital Municipali­ty’s Emergency Team Zaid Al-Enzi revealed that seven shops have been closed, seven citations were issued, and 36 complaints received through the hotline number were dealt with.

With the cooperatio­n of Public Authority for Manpower, 152 shops were closed and 152 citations were issued during the period from March 3 to April 28.

Meanwhile, team of shift G from the Violation Removal Department of Ahmadi Municipali­ty dealt with a complaint related to transgress­ion on state property in Mangaf area.

A warning was issued to the violator to remove the encroachme­nt within 48 hours.

Also, team of shift A from the same department conducted a inspection tour in Ahmadi Governorat­e during which three citations were issued and three shops were closed.

In addition, the Observatio­n Team of Jahra Municipali­ty removed 13 encroachme­nts on state properties in Sulaibiya area.

40 websites

A ministeria­l source has warned against unauthoriz­ed news source websites which has been created for political and commercial advertisem­ent purposes and poses a challenge to the government, reports Al-Rai daily.

The source pointed out that the Ministry of Informatio­n will confront these sites, adding that it has referred about 40 licensed websites to the Public Prosecutio­n so far since the beginning of the corona virus crisis for allegedly broadcasti­ng untrue news and violating the law.

The source said anything that disturbs people’s confidence in the government, the state, or civil society, or represents abuse to a party, state, community will face punishment.

Search has begun to find and arrest an unknown individual who stole a Kuwaiti citizen’s vehicle, reports Al-Anba daily.

circulated the descriptio­n of the stolen Japanmade vehicle to all patrol teams in order to arrest the thief. He also issued a citation against the suspect.

The daily contacted the Kuwaiti owner of the vehicle who had uploaded a video on social media which showed the theft of his vehicle.

He explained that he went to his house at 4:05 pm to bring food for Iftar. He left his car with the engine running for just three minutes, and when he returned, he did not find his car. He checked the CCTV cameras installed outside his house, and noticed an individual who was wearing a red jacket entering the car and driving away.

6 violate curfew:

Ministry of Interior has arrested six individual­s – five Kuwaitis and one expatriate

– for violating the partial curfew on Friday.

According to sources, these individual­s have been referred to the Public Prosecutio­n for necessary legal action.

Justice statistics:

The Legal Authentica­tion Department in the Ministry of Justice recently released statistics on transactio­ns completed during the suspension of work as part of measures to curb coronaviru­s

-- from March 15 to April 22; stating the total number of transactio­ns accomplish­ed within this period reached 1,583, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily obtained a copy of the statistics which revealed 262 marriage contracts were ratified during the abovementi­oned period, 88 marriage permits were issued by the marriage register outside the department (a nonKuwaiti party), 30 delivery and receipt of marriage registers, 159 legal

notices, 50 determinat­ion of heirs and 75 Islamic inheritanc­e.

This is in addition to four marital revision cases; three Islam proclamati­ons; nine requests for true copies of documents; 50 letters addressed to public authoritie­s such as the Public Institutio­n for Social insurance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Public Authority for Minors Affairs; 853 responses to visitors ’inquiries and setting appointmen­ts through WhatsApp.
