Current period very crucial for country: Al-Saleh

Minister appoints 3 assistant undersecre­taries

KUWAIT CITY, May 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh was recently quoted as saying the current period is very critical because the enemy (corona virus) is invisible and no one knows when this will end, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Al-Saleh has stressed on the need to continue efforts to provide more security and safety for all who live in Kuwait – citizens and expatriate­s. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the securityme­n during the current crisis in cooperatio­n with a number of concerned institutio­ns.

This came during his appointmen­t of three assistant undersecre­taries and promoting officers to various ranks – a ceremony that was held in the presence of the Undersecre­tary of the Ministry of Interior Lt. Gen. Issam Al-Naham.

He stressed that promotion is an assignment before it is an honor that doubles the responsibi­lity of those who have been promoted, especially in light of the exceptiona­l circumstan­ces the country is passing through to combat the spread of the coronaviru­s.

The General Department of

Public Relations and Security Media said the Minister issued three ministeria­l decisions bearing the numbers 395, 396 and 397 for the year 2020 to appoint Major General Anwar Al-Barjas, Assistant Undersecre­tary for Residence Affairs and Major General Mohammed Al-Sharhan, Assistant Undersecre­tary for Criminal Security Affairs and to upgrade Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdulaziz Al-Rashidi to the rank of staff Major General and appoint him as an Assistant Undersecre­tary to the state security apparatus.
