‘Is the ‘troika’ story a reality?’

‘Iran helped in fulfilling dreams’

- — Compiled by Zaki Taleb

“I WAS, will and still remain in an uncompromising belief that the one that combines Washington and Tehran more than separates them, is if there is something they disagree on, as they are the two sides of that troika and the abominable Zionist entity constitutes the third notorious part,” columnist

Abdurrahman Khaled Al-Humoud wrote for Al-Qabas.

“I say the above, although, recently I was exposed to a wave of enquiries and questions from some of my acquaintances and friends if I still believe in the existence of such a troika (between Washington, Tehran and Tel Aviv) particularly following the killing of the Iranian official Qassem Soleimani and some of his assistants in a sudden operation that surprised all of those who have yet to realize the existence of this dangerous triangle.

“But for me, I confidently can say, I still believe in the existence of such a coalition, and my belief increased following the open play (the killing of Soleimani) because the development falls within the services that were extended by this deadly ally to its partners and allies in Tehran, and why not, particularly since we know that this deadly ally was propelled to power more than four decades ago.

“This happened because they had realized that they will not be in a position to control the overwhelming Iraqi revolutionaries because the revolution sent shock waves and frustrated all of their dreams and the dreams of their agents who for some time, had managed to dominate all Iraqi state joints including its history, civilizations, religious weight, geographical location and its unlimited potentials.

“As such, they (the Iranians) had decided to make one of their myths a scapegoat in the face of the Iraqi national unity which was obviously embodied in the Iraqi people’s blessed uprising and called for the head of this scapegoat who had become a master in this free Arab country after being presented by Washington to the clerics of Tehran on a golden platter.

“Yes, the Iranian regime, in order to maintain its control over Baghdad, is, in my humble opinion, ready to sacrifice Tehran and its suburbs, and not only a person, in order to achieve the dream that has been in their mind for more than fourteen centuries. Perhaps the acumen of the noble reader makes me not dwell on the reasons for this Persian dream.

“What confirms the reality of the alliance between the sides of the triangle is the continuous repetition of the American-Iranian media hostility that we see among their military fleets over the waters of our Arabian Gulf and the continued play harping on the strings of economic sanctions that Washington claims to apply to them day and night it is imposing on Tehran and this became evident recently at the outset of the outbreak of the corona pandemic.

“The American president although his country is suffering from the shortage of the respirators to protect Americans, had only after three days of the outbreak of the crisis offered to his agents in Iran a quantity of these appliances.

“However, this happened although his country, is still suffering from this pandemic to such an extent it topped all the countries of the world in terms of the number victims of this epidemic in question on a daily basis.”

“Our major branch in the university in the fields of economic and political studies have benefited us in terms of understanding the developments of the events,” columnist and former Kuwaiti ambassador

Ahmad Al-Dawas wrote for Al-Seyassah daily. “As such we wonder, what does a state which is currently suffering because of foreign chocking sanctions and local protests against the ruling regime will do? This state, issues statements against the other in order to get its people forget its problems and support its leadership.

“In other words this state issues statements, whose objectives are undeclared, but these statements are mostly aimed at protecting the local political regime.

“In this context, say that the Iranian navy boats recently moved in the Gulf waters and approached the US navy boats and the latter threatened to destroy these boats if they came close enough.

“But what can be said about Iran’s relevant reaction? It has actually launched a rocket in the space just to flex its military muscles as if it would like to say ‘I am here and I am still strong’.

“As a matter of fact, the Iranian regime is currently suffering because of local protests against which are witnessed in many Iranian cities, because the Iranians are suffering from the low standard of living because the situations in Iran have not improved since the eruption of the Iranian revolution in 1979.

“And following the recent US pressures on Iran, Tehran issued a statement on Thursday that ‘Kuwait and Bahrain are part of the Persia and a large area of Oman coast.’ Not just that, Iran threatened to strike the US bases.

“However, it seems all the above statements are aimed at diverting the attention of the Iranian people away from daily suffering and mobilize the people to support its leadership, particularly since we know the spread of corona virus has aggravated the suffering of this people.

“Such being the case, we found Iran resorting to this type of policy from time to time against the Gulf states whenever any crisis surfaces inside Iran to divert the attention of the people away from the ruling regime.

“We have repeatedly said Iran has lost chances although it enjoys huge economic potentials if they are properly exploited.

“However, if I was the president of Iran, I would open a new page of relations with all the states and encourage investments from the Gulf, Europe and the Americas in order to enable the latter develop Iranian tourism, agriculture and industrial sectors which can create job opportunities for millions of Iranians and which in the end can improve the standard of living of these workers and help Iran embark on development.

“In this context, we refer to Europe which are involved in rivalry in the field of tourism as well as in the field of attracting foreign funds, because might today is not confined to military power, rather to the economy and this is evident through when we compare the two Koreas – North and South.

“But it looks like Iran has chosen the road to the Middle Ages by interfering in the internal affairs of neighboring countries and embraced backwardness which now reflects on its people.”

“The latest statistics issued by the Ministry of Education on the number and specializations of Kuwaiti teachers, which was published in some local newspapers, revealed the scale of the tragedy that the educational sector in Kuwait is witnessing. The State spends billions of dinars on education annually and the salary constitutes a large proportion of the State’s annual budget,” columnist Zayed Alzaid wrote for

Annahar daily. “The tragedy is that the number of Kuwaiti teachers – 50,000 – is concentrated in specific specializations like Islamic education, Arabic, Physical Education, Social Studies, Philosophy and Art Education. The ministry suffers from dearth of nationals with scientific specializations such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and even English.

“The country’s inability to encourage Kuwaiti teachers to pursue scientific specializations is an affirmation of its overall failure to manage the educational process. This is due to the absence of planning, as well as the lack of coordination between the Ministry of Education on one hand, and Kuwait University and the Ministry of Higher Education on the other hand.

“Where is the role of Kuwait University in coordinating with the Ministry of Education to open specializations for teachers in scientific subjects and motivate them by offering a package of privileges and promises to complete the study and raise salaries.”
