Many companies closed for offering lower car insurance

KUWAIT CITY, May 9: General Traffic Department affiliated to Ministry of Interior closed violating insurance companies for providing car insurance at rates ranging between KD 11 and KD 14.

In a press release, the department stated that the actual cost of the insurance ranges between KD 16 and KD 19, due to which the offers provided by the aforementioned companies are considered as violation of the relevant law.

Swab tests conducted:

The Preventive Health Department conducted swab tests on 270 employees assigned in the main building of the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) after the discovery of more than one case of coronavirus infection among the ministry employees, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting sources.

Sources revealed the MEW previously prepared a list of employees assigned in the main building and the list was forwarded to the Preventive Health Department to take nasal swabs as a preventive measure.

On the other hand, Minister of Oil, Electricity and Water Dr Khaled Al-Fadil recently issued three decisions – appointment of Assistant Undersecretary for Electrical Transmission Networks Eng Jassim AlNuri as Undersecretary of the MEW, transfer of Assistant Undersecretary for Electrical Distribution Networks Eng Mutlaq Al-Otaibi to the Financial Sector and Assistant Undersecretary for Monitoring Centers Eng Maha Al-Asousi to the Planning Sector.
