‘Workers in various PAM depts found infected’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: A number of workers in various department­s at the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) – Ahmadi, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Reggae and Hawally – have been found to be infected with coronaviru­s but this did not affect workflow in the authority, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Sources disclosed the authority assigned a working team to continuous­ly monitor the health condition of employees and conduct periodic examinatio­n to ensure their safety, reiteratin­g the work cycle is not affected by any possible infection.

Sources said Director General of the authority Ahmed Al-Moussa instructed the Services Department and concerned officials that in the event of discoverin­g infections among the employees, those infected should be isolated. This is in addition to the sterilizat­ion of the premises and then to start the work without disrupting the transactio­ns or appointmen­ts, sources revealed.

Sources added majority of the infected cases were discovered during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, affirming the department­s were sterilized and only Ahmadi Administra­tion was closed for two days.

Sources indicated that department­s do not face any problems in general as work has not been affected; affirming the appointmen­ts are still in place, transactio­ns are followed up through the easiest applicatio­n, and there is continuous teamwork to monitor the health condition of employees and check them regularly.
