Injuries in gang war:

Seven youngsters have been arrested by the police when a fight broke out between two groups inside the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, one of them believed to be a Iraqi, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The daily added, three people were injured and were taken to the Sabah Hospital while those arrested have been detained at a police station.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Interior has denied rumors that the men in uniform also were involved in the fight.

Police are investigat­ing the cause of the fight.

❑ An unidentifi­ed Indian has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing his wife, who was three months pregnant, of aborting the fetus, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, when the wife was summoned for interrogat­ion she admitted to taking medicine which helped her abort the fetus. She has been referred to the Public Prosecutio­n.

Wife aborts fetus:

Police are looking for unidentifi­ed persons for stealing four camels worth 30,000 dinars, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The theft was reported to the Kuwaiti owner by the shepherd ‘boy’ and the former filed a complaint with the Qashaniyah Police Station.

MoE budget cut:

The Ministry of Finance has deducted more than KD400 million from the budget requested by its education counterpar­t for the new fiscal year, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources from the educationa­l sector.

Source revealed the Ministry of Education received the approved budget recently, indicating the approved amount is KD 1.99 billion while the requested budget was KD 2.4 billion.

Sources said the first chapter of the requested budget, which includes salaries, amounted to KD 2.2 billion; and the remaining amount was distribute­d to other chapters.
