New hires in MoE interviews put off
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, Faisal Al-Maqsid announced the postponement of interviews for new hires – teachers and all supervisory positions in all categories in all educational areas and the office of the ministry (department heads, deputy directors, school directors, technical mentors, etc.) until what he called further notice, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Maqsid added, this was necessitated by the prevailing emergency health conditions the country is going through and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus, based on the preventive measures taken by the Ministry of Health.
Al-Maqsid revealed the Ministry of Education has restricted the entry of visitors and even some employees to the ministry’s headquarters in South Surrah except for those who had prior appointments to complete transactions.
He said the decisions have been taken in the best interests of everyone concerned and upon directives issued by the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Saud AlHarbi.
Al-Maqsid indicated that the Ministry decided, in coordination with the administrative sector, to receive (non-Kuwaiti) visitors whose residence permits have expired and wish to renew them.
They will be received at the ministry’s headquarters after the end of official working hours, starting on Sunday, Sept 27 between 1.30 pm to 5 pm.
However, the visitors will not be allowed to enter the ministry’s general office except if they have prior appointment.
❑ KNPC promotes 5 persons: The Chief Executive Officer of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Walid Al-Badr, has issued a circular, Thursday, to promote 5 team leaders, which takes effect on Sept 27, 2020, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the circular Shamlan Yousef Al-Roumi will head the Project Coordination Team Group V and Sheikha Badr Al-Rasheed will head the Project Coordination Team II.
The others are Anwar Hizam Al-Maya who has been promoted to head projects team (the Local Marketing Department), Mortada Ayesh Al-Salameen to head the Management and Budget Control Team (Local Marketing Department), and Muhammad Salem Al-Ajmi is promoted as head of the ‘filling stations’ team.
