Eng Zakaria honored for successful completion of his training program
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: A young engineer at the Kuwait Oil Company has successfully passed a high-level training program and obtained one of the highest certificates in the field of well drilling engineering, reports Al-Rai daily.
The drilling tower operations engineer in the developmental drilling and well repair work team (6) of the Kuwait Oil Company, Ali Zakaria, ended the training program organized by Shell, which lasted for 18 months, during which he traveled to several regions and countries, starting from Kuwait, with one of the prominent stations were the Sultanate of Oman.
The program included high-level training on several skills and techniques related to well inspection, power systems in wells, hydraulic systems and many others. Zakaria answered the final exam at the end of the program, and was honored with a “Shell Round 1” certificate to become one of the elite members of the recipients. This certificate, as well as his final exam scores, exceeded the standards set by ‘Shell’.
Engineer Zakaria was received by the CEO of the Kuwait Oil Company, Imad Sultan, in his office at the company’s headquarters to honor him and praise him for the strenuous efforts he made to raise the name of the company high, and urged young engineers to follow similar steps for the sake of them and the Kuwait Oil Company.
Sultan thanked Shell for its distinguished efforts with Kuwait Oil to develop both operations and workers, stressing the continuation of cooperation between the two sides in the interest of the oil sector and the State of Kuwait in general.
The reception was attended KOC’s Director of Development Drilling Group 2, Ali Al-Saleh, and Head of the Development Drilling and Repair Work Team 6, Mishaal Al-Khaldi, while Shell, was represented by its CEO in Kuwait, Anwar Al-Mutlaq, and Drilling Consultant Ali Abu Bakr.
