Three Egyptians handed over to Interpol
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12 : The Directorate-General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry said the security authorities continue to keep in check all violators of the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers and preventive measures put in place by the health authorities to keep in check the spread of COVID-19, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added, the preventive measures include wearing face masks in public and private places, social distancing and ban on gatherings.
The ministry clarified in a statement all violators of Cabinet decisions were immediately dealt with to prevent gatherings inside the country and that the law has been applied on everyone without discrimination.
The ministry said the security men on several occasions have dispersed people gathering in one place in violation of the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers and instructions of the health authorities. Some of those organizing gatherings were summoned and referred to the concerned authorities.
The Ministry has called upon citizens and residents to fully adhere to the laws, instructions and procedures in the interest of everyone’s safety.
In addition, a security source said the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major-General Faraj Al-Zoubi said violators of the Council of Ministers decision were summoned for interrogation when clips were posted in the social media showing a wedding reception in the Ahmadi Governorate, another wedding that was happening in Sabah Al-Ahmad, another citizen who had organized a party in his home.

Trio go to Interpol: The State Security Agency has recently handed over three Egyptians to the Egyptian Interpol. They were wanted by the Egyptian authorities for allegedly inciting chaos and calling on people through social media to demonstrate, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to senior sources these defendants had launched an intense campaign to incite Egyptians to break the law and demonstrate against their government.
Following a request from the Egyptian authorities, the men nabbed in the Farwaniya Governorate and following interrogations they were handed over to the Egyptian authorities.
The sources pointed there is a strong cooperation between the Kuwaiti and Egyptian security authorities based on the extradition treaty signed by both sides.

Mentally ill escapes: Police are looking for an unidentified psychologically disturbed person who is said to have escaped from the Psychiatric Hospital, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily added, the escapee was admitted to Ward No. 34 after he
was arrested by the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police for attempting to exit from Kuwait without stamping his passport.
The employees of the hospital said the suspect ran away from the hospital at about 5:00 pm and that the CCTV cameras failed to monitor his escape.
Sources close to the issue have told the daily, the health authorities have launched an investigation to find out how the patient hoodwinked everyone although the facility is monitored round the clock and the entry and exit to the hospital is under careful watch 24/7.
The same sources say there is a possibility that one of the employees may have colluded with the escapee and helped him escape.

Woman drowns at sea: The remains of an unidentified Kuwaiti woman who drowned off the Abu
Halifa beach have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, acting on information the Coast Guard dive team and personnel from the Emergency Medical Services affiliated to the Ministry of Health rushed to the spot and fished the corpse out of the water.
The daily added, the woman who is believed to be in her 30s, was allegedly swimming and raised an alarm for help.
It is not known if the victim was an amateur swimmer or she was pulled in by the undercurrent.
The daily added, she was identified with the help of her fingerprints by personnel from the Forensics.

Kuwaiti swindled: The Jahra police are looking for an unidentified expatriate for cheating a Kuwaiti, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint to the Jahra Police Station, the Kuwaiti said the suspect
lured him to join him in a business venture which was to be conducted ‘online’ to save money and effort.
However, after the Kuwaiti gave the expatriate 4,000 dinars, the latter did the disappearing act. After the money was given for a few days he refused to answer call and finally put his cellphone off.

Maid attempts suicide: The Ardhiya police have detained an unidentified Sri Lankan maid for investigation to know why she wanted to end her life, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said when the maid threatened to hang herself to death, the sponsor informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior following which police and paramedics rushed to the spot and succeeded in convincing the maid to give up the idea of committing suicide. The daily did not give more details.
