Millions of tires destroyed in fire

When the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Kuwait Fire Services Directorat­e (KFSD) received a call that a vehicles tire storage facility has caught fire, firemen from several fire centers rushed to Shaqaya and brought the fire under control, reports Al-Rai daily.

Police have arrested an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti, born in 1995, who had been sentenced in absentia to five years in prison for committing thefts, reports Al-Anba daily.

An unidentifi­ed woman has filed a complaint with a police station in the Capital governorat­e accusing her friend of breach of trust, reports Al-Anba daily.

In her complaint the woman said she has three rare breed cats and she handed them to her friend to take care of these cats when she was away.

When she returned she went to her friend to get back her cats but the friend refuses to part with the felines.

Police are looking into the case.

Cash taken from car :

Police are looking for an unidentifi­ed thief who broke into the vehicle of a person, whose nationalit­y is not known and stole 500 dinars and valuable items, reports Al-Anba daily.

In his complaint to the Sulaibiya Police Station, the complainan­t said the vehicle was parked in front of his house and the thief broke the side glass and stole the contents.

He did not point a finger of accusation at anyone. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprin­ts.
