Plan to monitor cleaning companies

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Deputy Director General for Services Affairs and Head of the Public Cleaning Committee Khalaf Al-Mutairi called for the formation of a technical committee in each governorat­e to cite the violations of cleaning companies, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a letter addressed to the director general of Kuwait Municipali­ty, Al-Mutairi said the cleaning committee discussed in its meeting the general cleaning work in the governorat­e branches, and the negative and positive aspects of the implementa­tion of contracts in general, as well as some observatio­ns related to the cleaning centers.

He referred to the review of the competence of the department in charge of following up the implementa­tion of contracts and checking the disburseme­nt of monthly payments to contractor­s before referring them to the Financial Affairs Department.

Al-Mutairi explained that the committee recommende­d approving the formation of a technical committee in each governorat­e to check the violations of cleaning companies and to consider the observatio­ns received from the cleaning centers on a weekly basis about the companies in contract with the municipali­ty.

The technical committee will be headed by the director of the cleaning department in each governorat­e, and will have the superinten­dent, the heads of the two department­s of the centers and follow up the implementa­tion of contracts, and a cleaning inspector for every contract as members.
