Charity Foundation:

The Minister of Social Affairs, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Issa Al-Kandari, has issued a decision declaring the foundation of the Anaza Charity Foundation for an unlimited period, says Al-Seyassah .

The summary of the statutes of the Anaza Charitable Foundation states that it aims to provide aid and grants to needy families after studying their cases individual­ly, ensuring the provision of financial and in-kind aid and assistance to the needy and the poor, providing medical and social care for the needy, the poor and those in need, and providing scholarshi­ps for outstandin­g students to conduct research and advanced postgradua­te studies.

The decision stated that incentive grants and appreciati­on awards will be given for researcher­s and outstandin­g students in various religious, scientific, literary, social and artistic fields, as well as assisting scientific and literary research centers and specialize­d training centers.

Woman commits suicide:

A 27-year-old Jordanian woman committed suicide by hanging herself inside an apartment in Salmiya, reports Al-Anba daily.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: The Ministry of Interior announced the admission of 160 civilians including 30 jurists with a junior legal researcher position, which qualifies for the position of investigat­or after they pass the prescribed course - to the General Department of Investigat­ions, based on the directives and instructio­ns of the Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali.

The ministry confirmed that it has been communicat­ing with the admitted students via short text messages on mobile phones to visit the Specialize­d Training Center next Sunday to complete the appointmen­t procedures.

Meanwhile, the minister has suggested opening a police station at the Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport instead of referring the cases to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.

A security source told the daily the incident was reported to the police by a woman – likely to be either the victim’s mother or sister.

The daily gave no other details.
