Building permits for Al Mutla’a, South Abdullah set

PAHW has received bids from companies

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of Services Dr. Abdullah Ma’arafi chaired the second coordinati­on meeting with the relevant state authoritie­s to complete the procedures for issuing building permits to citizens who got plots of land to build houses in Mutla’a Residentia­l City and the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak.

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) said in a press statement the meeting decided to announce next week the dates for issuing building permits for these two residentia­l cities. During the meeting, the owners of the plots have called for overcoming difficulti­es and overcoming obstacles at each site to help expedite work.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Public Works, Minister of Municipali­ty Dr. Rana Al-Faris; Minister of Oil, Minister of Electricit­y and Water Dr. Muhammad Al-Faris; Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare Eng Bader Al-Waqian, in addition to the Director General of the Public Authority for Roads and Transport (PART) Engr Suha Ashkanani and Director General the Kuwait Municipali­ty, Engr Ahmed Al-Manfouhi; the Undersecre­tary of the Ministry of Public Works, Engr Ismail Al-Falikawi, and the Undersecre­tary of the Ministry of Electricit­y and Water Engr Jassim

Al-Nouri, in addition to a group of senior officials.

On the other hand, Dr. Abdullah Ma’arafi announced that PAHW has received bids from companies eligible for investment opportunit­y in Sabah Al-Ahmad Residentia­l City.

Dr. Ma’arafi explained the investment opportunit­y is a traditiona­l market with a heritage urban character, with a land area of approximat­ely 40,000 square meters in the service axis of the city.

He added that the traditiona­l market consists of retail stores, commercial and entertainm­ent outlets, cafés and restaurant­s, making the city a commercial and service center that will enrich the southern region of Kuwait.
