Trigger-happy man held: ‘Abnormal’ couple nabbed: Duo held with drugs:

The security authoritie­s have arrested an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti and referred him to the General Administra­tion of Weapons Investigat­ion for possessing an unlicensed firearm and firing in populated areas and endangerin­g the lives of the residents of the area, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the security authoritie­s referred the man to the Forensics Department for a blood sample to know if is consuming drugs.

The arrest of the citizen came after he allegedly fired two shots from his pistol in the suburb of Jaber Al-Ali near a mosque and after receiving informatio­n police rushed to the spot and hearing the sound of the siren the suspect allegedly entered a mosque.

The security men followed the man inside the mosque and found him hiding. After searching him and the car, police found the pistol.

On the other hand, a security source told the daily the Jahra investigat­ors have arrested a Kuwaiti whose brother had filed a complaint accusing the man of shooting at him in the Saad Al-Abdullah area.

When confronted, the suspect denied the allegation but after examining the site of the incident police were convinced that the shooting had happened.

Police are now looking for the gun that was used in the incident.

Earlier the daily had reported that an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti had filed a report with the area police station accusing his brother of shooting at him two times following a dispute between them in the Saad Al-Abdullah area, Block 2.

A woman and her companion have been detained at the Rumaithiya Police Station for destroying state and private property, in addition to being in an abnormal state, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a security source the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report that a vehicle had run out of control in Rumaithiya and crashed through a barricade and bumped into another parked vehicle.

It turned out that the person behind the steering wheel was abnormal and admitted to the charges filed against him.

After the accident the woman allegedly escaped but was arrested later.

The Hawalli police have handed over two Kuwaitis to the Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) after they were caught in possession of drug pills and narcotic substances, reports AlRai daily.

The daily added, at the time of arrest the men under the influence of drugs. They were caught on Tunis Street.

The security source added the men were riding in a car and the man behind the wheel was initially ordered to pull over for reckless driving.
