Youths ministry, Lawyers Society sign co-op document

Ministry of State for Youth Affairs and Kuwait Society of Layers have signed a primary implementa­tion document to train attorney assistants. In a press statement, Ministry Undersecre­tary Dr Mishal Al-Rubayye said, after signing the document last night, that the trainees will attend a two-month intensive field training program which ends with employing trainees in law firms. In this regard, Al-Rubayye Praised Kuwait Society of Lawyers for its cooperatio­n to create job opportunit­ies for Kuwaiti youths. The program, the first of its kind in Kuwait, will provide the profession of legal assistant attorney, financial and administra­tive assistant attorney. It was developed in coordinati­on with the Public Authority for Manpower and the Supreme Council for Developmen­t and Planning, Al-Rubayye indicated. He pointed that the ministry seeks to provide job opportunit­ies for Kuwaiti youth, adjust the demographi­c structure, and replace foreigners with Kuwaitis to solve the unemployme­nt problem. Applicatio­ns can be soon submitted through the minister’s office website, and 50 attorney assistants who hold a diploma in law will be selected, he said. On his part, chairman of Kuwait Society of Lawyers Sharyan Al-Sharyan said the society will provide an integrated training program for Kuwaiti youth and provide job opportunit­ies for trainees after passing the training period.
