Why ‘Tower’ was not decorated ?

‘Cat killer’ held, faces fine

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Ministry of Communicat­ions said it has opened an investigat­ion why the Liberation Tower was not decorated during the national holidays like the rest of the buildings in the country, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The Ministry of Communicat­ion said, those responsibl­e will be summoned for interrogat­ion and referred to the Legal Affairs Department and accused of breach of duty.

A report also will be submitted to the higher management once the legal procedures have been completed.

Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Agricultur­al Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) strongly condemned what has been published in the social media showing an unidentifi­ed person mutilating and killing a number of cats, reports Al-Rai daily.

The PAAAFR spokesman, Talal Al-Daihani, said the person has been arrested and produced before the Public

Prosecutio­n to take legal measures against him.

Al-Daihani explained the person punishment will be charged with Zoophobia and expected to be put behind bars and fined up to 20,000 dinars or one of these two penalties.

The punishment is doubled in case of repeat of the offence.

Kabad police have arrested a Kuwaiti, who is believed to be in his 20s, who allegedly sneaked in the police station’s parking lot and attempted to steal the ‘vanette’ which had been impounded by police after the youth was caught driving recklessly, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The securityme­n arrested the suspect as soon as he entered the police station yard and attempted to get away with the vehicle using duplicate key.

He has been handed over to the concerned authority.
