Int’l literary group MKM marks Kuwait National Day with its first poetic meet

‘Kuwait helped fulfill dreams’

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: On the eve of the National Day and Liberation Day of Kuwait, Mahila Kavya Manch’s Kuwait unit organized it first poetic meet. MKM, Kuwait is the newly establishe­d branch of MKM, an internatio­nal literary organizati­on of the women, by the women and for the women.

Conducted over the virtual platform of Zoom, the meeting was attended by office bearers and famous poet / poetess from Kuwait, Dubai and India. The patron of MKM Naresh Naaz’s presence was a moment of pride for the Kuwait unit. Dr. (Mrs.) Durga Sinha, the Gen. Secretary of the Internatio­nal units presided over the program while Mrs. Sneha Dev, the in-charge of the MKM GCC units was the Chief Guest of the day. Mrs. VijayLaxmi Jangid’s presence as Guest of Honour added to the gladness of the Kuwait unit.

The evening started with a beautiful quote from Ms. Nazneen Ali, President of MKM and the anchor for the day. She mentioned that all the residents of Kuwait, irrespecti­ve of their nationalit­y love Kuwait as this country is the breeding ground for their developmen­t and success. The Vice President of MKM, Dr (Mrs.) Radhika Guleri Bhardwaj, Gen Secretary, Mrs. Anupama Chaturvedi and poets from Kuwait Mrs Kamla Prakash and Mrs Parul Chaturvedi also praised this great nation for welcoming the expatriate community and helping them to fulfill their dreams and allowing them in contributi­ng for the progress of this country.

The poetic session started with a beautiful song by Narsh Naaz who also appreciate­d the ladies for their dedication in nurturing literature. He was followed by Mrs. Vijaya Laxmi’s who recited a poem highlighti­ng the changes required in social customs and traditions for the betterment of the society. Mrs. Parul Chaturvedi paid tribute to the brave soldiers and martyrs through her poem while Dr. (Mrs) Radhika Guleri Bhardwaj recited a poem mentioning the importance of time and how it changes during different phases of life. Kamla Prakash presented an emotional poem describing a person’s love for thy motherland. Anupama Chaturvedi’s beautiful poem on women empowermen­t amused everyone.

Poetess from India Medha Jha also recited a poem on women and her inner strengths. Girija Guleri shared her wonderfull­y woven words through her poem about the world of words. Rizwana Iqra’s Urdu poetry spread vivid colors and created a different environmen­t all together while Deepa Swaminatha­n’s symbolic poem of a traditiona­l art and life of a woman was enjoyed by all.

Nazneen Ali recited a motivation­al poem depicting strong willpower. She then invited the chief guest of the evening Sneha Dev who recited a poem of a member Mr Ram Swaroop Dixit who could not join due to some emergency. Later she presented her poem on the capabiliti­es of a women in managing things and another philosophi­cal creation. The evening ended with a beautiful poem by Dr. (Mrs.) Durga Sinha who took the poetic meet to another level. She appreciate­d Kuwait unit for conducting such a beautiful program and wished them all the success. In the end Naresh Naaz thanked everyone and wished prosperity for Kuwait.
