KUWAIT CITY, April 5: Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basil Al-Sabah has authorized the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr Mustafa Redha to disburse excellent performance bonuses to employees nominated by their direct leaders in the ministry, reports Al-Anba daily.

He approved the regulations for the disbursement of excellent performance bonuses, so that the service period of the employee nominated for the bonus is not less than a year starting from January 1, 2020 until December 31, 2020 within the Ministry of Health.

According to the regulations, the employee must receive an “excellent” grade in the appraisal of 2020. The employee has not been subjected to disciplinary actions during the year 2020. The employee has not exceeded the period of sick leave beyond 15 days during the year 2020 except for hospitalization. The employee has been appointed based on the degree of the general salary scale or those who are appointed with salaries. The period of actual practice of the employee’s work during the calendar year is distributed over 70 percent of the number of shift days for workers in this system, each according to the shift system to which he is subject, and 180 actual work days for the rest of the other categories. The actual period of practice is calculated after excluding the period of interruption (suspension from work, secondment, sabbatical of all kinds, missions and vacations of whatever type or duration, official holidays, gathering and rest except for sick leaves during the hospitalization period only).

Informed health sources explained that the Ministry of Health has allocated KD 11.5 million to pay excellent performance bonuses. It will start listing the names of those eligible for the bonuses, and is expected to start disbursing them from midRamadan.
